OUT OF OFFICE
Because sometimes the best way to deal with work is to disappear from it.
Not forever. JUST FOR A WHILE.
We spend most of our week under fluorescent lights.
Looking at screens. Answering messages. Moving between meetings. Pretending that another calendar invite is going to solve everything.
So we thought:
What if we just leave?
OUT OF OFFICE is Machina Trail’s a day or days escape from the city.
No big expedition. No heroic summit attempt. No performance metrics.
Just one day outside.
The kind of day where your phone loses signal before you do.
We trade office shoes for trail shoes.
Air conditioning for actual air.
Traffic for elevation.
Slack notifications for birds making weird noises somewhere in the trees.
And somehow, everything starts making a little more sense.
This is not a race.
Not a training program.
Not another wellness initiative from HR.
There is no personal best to chase.
No spreadsheet.
No presentation deck.
No “let's circle back next week.”
Just dirt, distance, elevation and people who probably needed this more than they realised.
Some will run. Some will walk. Some will disappear ahead. Some will stop for a view.
Some will question why they agreed to this somewhere halfway up the hill.
That's fine.
The mountain doesn't care. Neither do we.
Because endurance was never supposed to be about sitting still and waiting for the weekend.
It is about going somewhere.
Getting a little lost.
Finding another version of yourself somewhere between the first climb and the last descent.
Coming back dirty.
Coming back tired.
Coming back slightly less interested in your inbox.
OUT OF OFFICE.
One day away from the usual.
One day outside the system.
One day where the only thing on your calendar is:
GO OUTSIDE.
See you on the trail.
